The Director of the Research and Development Center at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj, Dr. Thamer bin Suleiman Al-Mneef, received His Excellency Sheikh Professor Dr. Saad Al-Shathri, Advisor to the Royal Court and Member of the Council of Senior Scholars, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, corresponding to Dhu al-Qadah 11, 1447 AH, in the presence of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamim, and the University's Vice Presidents, Dr. Raid bin Abdullah Al-Yousef and Professor Dr. Hamad bin Nasser Al-Turaiki.
During his visit to the center's headquarters, His Excellency reviewed a number of research laboratories, where he listened to an explanation of the technical capabilities and advanced equipment housed in the center. This included the Advanced Mechanical Manufacturing Laboratory and the Applied Electronics and Electromagnetics Laboratory, along with the modern technologies and devices they contain that support the research, development, and innovation ecosystem.
His Excellency was also introduced to the most prominent projects and innovations that the center is working on, including automated land and aerial vehicles, automated submarines, power amplifiers, surveillance robots, biosensors, and specialized technologies in the fields of sensing and detection.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saad Al-Shathri praised the advanced capabilities and distinguished national competencies he observed, expressing his admiration for the research projects and products provided by the center, and its role in supporting the research, development, and innovation ecosystem and achieving the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
